The calculators run entirely in your browser. The amounts, rates and terms you type stay on your device. Saved versions use local browser storage. A Learning Passport is a file you explicitly export and restore, and FinanceLearn does not upload it. When you copy a shareable link, your inputs are written into that URL, so anyone you send it to can see the numbers it contains.

The site can use Vercel Web Analytics, Vercel Speed Insights and Google Analytics 4 to count visits, measure loading speed and learn which study actions are used. Learning events contain action names, route paths and limited traffic campaign labels. On embedded widgets, the detailed widget path is reduced to either the calculator embed category or graph embed category before analytics receives it. Events do not contain calculator values, saved numbers, answers, scores, files, search strings or link fragments. Advertising personalisation and Google Signals are disabled.

First-party Learn Network analytics also records completed page engagement samples, public route paths, safe action names, embed loads, a coarse device class and country, and external referrer or embed-parent hostnames. A public embed resource slug may be recorded so FinanceLearn can tell which widget is actually used. A random identifier groups events only within one browser tab and is stored in session storage. It does not record IP addresses, query strings, URL fragments, calculator values, saved numbers, answers, scores, assignment payloads, files, notes or personal information.

If display advertising is enabled on selected long-form pages, the ad provider may use cookies or similar technologies to measure and deliver ads. Advertising is separately gated, does not receive calculator values or saved scenarios, and will not be enabled until the required consent and audience controls are in place. Ads are not placed inside calculators, tools, practice, progress pages or embedded widgets.

Clearing site data removes local snapshots. The advanced developer appendix on the saved page can connect a separate Supabase project you administer. That optional setup sends the email address and snapshots used for the connection to that project. If you use it, create a new project for FinanceLearn and paste the SQL into its SQL editor. Do not paste it into the EconLearn database.
